Worker Memorial Day

Tuesday, April 28, 12:00PM:

Join the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH) for our annual Workers’ Memorial Day commemoration to honor those who have died or suffered injuries or illnesses while on the job, to recognize the sacrifices made by all essential workers on the front lines, and to renew the fight for strong safety and health protections.

We will come together with union members, advocates, and allies to demand safer workplaces, stronger enforcement of labor protections, and accountability for employers who put workers at risk. The event will take place at 345 Park Avenue, Manhattan, site of a shooting last summer where four workers died including SEIU 32BJ member Aland Etienne. Let’s stand in solidarity to ensure that no worker is forced to sacrifice their health or their life for a paycheck.
